There’s also a bunch of pictures from the cities I’ve been to, as well as the baseball stadiums. SBC Park has to be the best park on the left coast. As you get to the stadium, there are two things right off the bat that peak your baseballian interest. First, the address of the stadium is “24 Willie Mays Plaza”, and second, there is a giant statue of Willie Mays himself at the front entrance. On one hand, there is much devotion to the Say Hey kid (that’s Willie Mays), they do a lot to honor him on the exterior of the ballpark, but the inside of the park is a veritable shrine to Barry Bonds. I walked around the stadium, and as I approached the front gate, this couple that was probably my age asked me to take their picture. They gave me a little insight about the stadium, but then when I asked what their favorite park was, and they said Dodger Stadium, I figured their opinion had no merit. Also, as you stand behind the stadium, you are behind the right field wall known as the “Splash Zone”. This is because if someone hits a home run over right field, it will most likely go out of the stadium and into the water behind the stadium. This area behind the stadium is great. Thirdly, there is place next to the stadium where you can put your bikes, not just a bike rack, but a small complex where they guard your bicycles, which I think is a great idea. Because the outfield isn’t completely covered with seats, it makes the stadium seem more open. And that Lowry kid ended up with 8 2/3 innings, giving up only 5 hits, no runs, and I think only one walk.

Last year a Big 12 North team did not beat a single Big 12 South team, with the exception of Baylor, who hardly counts as a WAC team. Eight wins in Ames, however, is like winning a National Championship at most Big 12 schools. Colorado - Last year Gary Barnett managed to save his job by going to the Big 12 Championship game. Kansas State - Last years 4-7 record was a huge let down for a team that had won at least 9 games in 10 of the previous 11 seasons. This is one of those teams that seems like won’t win any ganes, but will sneak in a few wins here or there.Big 12 SouthTexas - Mack Brown has been one of the best coaches in college football since joining Texas in 1998. Zero Big 12 championships, despite appearing in the game twice, five straight losses to rival Oklahoma, and before last year no BCS wins. He was the John Cooper of this era, but last year’s Rose Bowl win has Longhorn fans hoping that the team can now win the big game, namely Oklahoma and the Big 12 Championship. I think this is the year that Texas beats Oklahoma and wins the Big 12, but they have two other big games they won’t win: at Ohio State and at Texas A&M.Oklahoma - This may be the least talented team that OU has had in five years. The Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Filipino and a host of other Asian flavors congregate, eat, shop and hang out there. Since it’s an Asian store, instead of getting two choices of rice to buy, you get twenty. I’m craving animal protein and have reached my carb-limit for the day so I order a whole soy sauce chicken. I look around and take an inventory of what everybody is eating for no particular reason; it’s just what I do anytime I go out to eat. Chow mein noodles, deep-fried crab croquettes, chicken drummettes, battered, fried and covered in a smoky-smelling sauce. I, being the age that I am, and knowing what I know from the countless articles and websites I read on nutrition and food, can recite the rules (sorry, I mean guidelines) they tell you should follow for a happy, healthy life. and I eat until we’re just a little too full and I consolidate my leftovers into his Styrofoam bowl. He and I are both feeling kind of drunk from the meal and we make a pact to talk ourselves out of it next time coming to Ranch 99 sounds like a good idea.

There is a dark side to Justin King. He is a frequent movie-goer — by himself. No girlfriends. No friends. Just Justin, the movie and darkness. “I love movies by myself,” King said. “I just like to get away from everything and all the attention.”

But when it comes to finding the top high school football player in Western Pennsylvania this season, the light shines and he is King. A 6-foot, 185-pound senior at Gateway, King is in the spotlight as a standout running back and defensive back who has more than 50 scholarship offers from schools across the country. He is widely regarded as the top player in the WPIAL, and some scouting services rank him among the top 10 in the country.

Kings final list of colleges says everything about his talent. His top three schools are Michigan, Penn State and Florida. His next three are Ohio State, Southern California and Miami, and he lists Pitt as having an outside chance.

This past spring, Southern California coach Pete Carroll showed up at Gateway to talk with Terry Smith, who is the Gators coach and Kings stepfather.

We had a coach here from the University of Texas, Smith said. We had all these big-time schools expressing interest who usually don’t come to Pennsylvania to recruit. Pete Carroll told me Justin was the only kid he came to see in Pennsylvania.

In the spring, King said Michigan was probably his No. 1 choice. He is friends with Michigan players Steve Breaston and Ryan Mundy, who both played at Woodland Hills. But King says Michigan, Penn State and Florida are even now. He plans to graduate from Gateway after the first semester and be at a college in January.

King is seriously good. He has gained glory by running the football, rushing for 1,763 yards last season and scoring 31 touchdowns. But colleges want King as a defensive back. The Sporting News ranks him the No. 1 defensive back in the country and the No. 9 player overall. Rivals100.com ranks him the No. 1 cornerback and the No. 10 player overall. When you look at the long term, cornerback is a better position for him. He’s built like a cornerback, Smith said.

Kings biggest attribute is his speed. He has run the 40-yard dash in 4.32 seconds. “He has to be the premier player in Western Pennsylvania because of the way he plays both sides of the ball,” North Hills coach Jack McCurry said. McCurry compared King to Ted Ginn Jr., a 2004 graduate of Glenville High School in Ohio who was ranked the No. 1 player in the country last year by Super Prep. Ginn is now at Ohio State.

The funny thing is Smith used to wonder if King would ever want to play sports. Smith started dating Kings mother, Alison, when King was about 8. There were constant battles for the TV because Justin wanted to watch Barney and everything else and I wanted to watch sports, Smith said. He had no interest in sports at all. King credits Smith for much of his success, even though King lives with his grandparents in the Gateway district. His mom and Smith live in the Woodland Hills district. Terry has had a tremendous impact on me, King said. When I first met him, I didn’t like sports. Then being around his family, I just absorbed it.

-ne August 5, 2004 Deb has put a password on her Content Advisor (in Windows XP Home) and now wants to remove it, but has no idea what she put in as a password. She isn’t sure when the problem started, but it is preventing Deb from logging into her homepage which happens to be a secure site. No secure sites listed in restricted sites. Then when Deb starts to add her home page to the Trusted site zone, as soon as she types the first h (as in http) a list of sites appear in the zone. (This is starting to get really serious!) So, after we run the virus scan and remove the bad files, turn off System Restore, reboot and turn it back on, we still cannot get to her secure sites. Deb and her husband each have their own profiles so Deb goes into his profile and connects to PestPatrol’s site, and gets to the secure purchase screen with no problem. The really strange entries are still in the Trusted site zone, (I really have to find out how to fix this) but she can now connect to her home page, the secure site. If the Control Panel is opened and Internet Options is selected, Temporary Internet files deleted and History is cleared, go to Security/Trusted Zone and type in an ‘h’, no new sites will show up, only what has been placed there already by the user.

I presented Mayor Moore with a plaque on behalf of the Health and Fitness Tour of America as well as a copy of my book, “There’s Always A Way.” I also left the Mayor with enough brochures for the Mayor and the city council members. Array-ne I was a little critical of Trillcode in a previous post about 2 months ago, especially the hype about integrating logos into (below) the codes. In the past months they have made some enhancements that allow you to place an image or animation within the code itself - a vast improvement that places the brand at the center of attention rather than the code itself.

Array While the clerk’s office has yet to track down those missing memory cards from about 66 precincts, party workers were able to provide printouts of vote results in those missing races. Apparently, he didn’t do a good enough job drawing the boundaries of his own district.Of the 66 missing precinct vote totals, 27 were from precincts involving close election contests. The missing precincts may account for as much as 12% of Marion County’s total vote in yesterday’s election. Some Republicans believe that the missing precincts are holding down the Republican vote. If those procedures had been followed, it would have been apparent that the memory cards for these 66 precincts were missing.

We will probably see whether his confidence has been truly tarnished when he bowls against New South Wales in the next game.Worryingly for England fans, Ashley Giles bowled his full quota of overs, while Monty Panesar bowled just three overs. Duncan Fletcher, seemingly so keen on his spinner offering containment, would do worse than remember Panesar, despite having a better average and strike-rate than Giles, also has a superior economy rate.Of particular note was Geriant Jones’ Save for the facet Andrew Flintoff was able to bowl his 10 overs and Andrew Strauss continued the form he showed in India, they can take nothing positive from this game.

gracyk says ferera was truly the first hawaiian slide guitar superstar, with early recordings released beyond the usa. it sounds a bit like gypsy music…in the 20’s ferera made a large number of recordings with anthony franchini. and his recording here with ferera and franchini was surely an attempt to cash in on the recent popularity of hawaiian music. the last track is pinin’ hawaii for you by the frank ferera hawaiians with ralph haines doing the vocal work….the song has the slow mellow feel of a hawaiian sunset…

The cubicle wall accomodates around 25 issues at once which is a good limit for general developer sanity, if it gets too busy I know it’s time to turn down new work requests.I have tried taking pictures of the wall with my pda phone before going to status update meetings and while you can’t say reading the cards is possible on that resolution their position shape and color, strangely enough, *do* remind me of what I’m working on :)You’ll also notice the toolbar at the bottom - a more obscure issue wizard which still has to prove it’s use :), the add issue coffee cup which holds the pins, markers and cards, and the closed issues cup, which is where issues go when they’re done.

Payment is settled through telegraphic transfer involving several banks namely Security Pacific National Bank (SEPAC) of Los Angeles as the bank of Star Kist, Philippine National Bank (PNB) as the bank with the agency arrangement with Star Kist, and Insular Bank of Asia and America (IBAA) as the bank of Mata. They ruled that the trust code does not apply in this case by using the technical definition of trust that is “a right of property, real or personal, held by one party for the benefit of another, that there is a fiduciary relation between a trustee and a cestui que trust as regards certain property, real, personal, money or chooses in action.” Court of Appeals PNB elevated the case to the Court of Appeals wherein said court affirmed the decision of the lower court. -ne Day 21, Sunday, July 11 We left our campground about 8:30 to make the 20 minute trip back down the mountain to the dump station and the visitors center. Thankfully, the store wasn’t far from the campground, because we had groceries in every nook and cranny in the packed trunk, on the floor and in our laps for the short ride home! 2.75 hours -mickey Day 22 – Monday, July 12 The older generation of this traveling group decided to do a tourist type excursion today while the younger three went up towards Chena Hot Springs for a long hike.( Chena is the area that is currently burning – and they saw alot of it and five moose) The excursion was a riverboat trip down two of the rivers here in Fairbanks. It was very informative on the native Athabascan culture, gold rush days, and a stop at the home of Iditarod winner, Susan Butcher. She wasn’t home today, she is up north checking on her other home which is in the fire area.Last year”s rookie winner, Jessie Royer , explained training the dogs etc., and gave a demonstration.

So, several years ago, the Iowa legislature voted to allow these TouchPlay machines in bars and convenience stores, that look surprisingly like slot machines, but somehow aren’. Now, I personally think that gambling is stupid, and is a tax on the mathematically challenged, but I also don’t think that making a thing legal one year, and illegal the next is very smart, or helpful to the businnesses that were getting money from these machines.
